I used a sheet of this mat to dampen the vibration of my espresso machine, and it did the job exactly as I had hoped. The stainless steal casing used to rattle whenever the espresso machine pump ran. After applying strips of the maps to the inside of the case, the rattle is now no more than a subdued hum. The mat cuts easily with either a craft knife or scissors and sticks well, even in the hottest environment.The only word of caution would be that you have to be very careful in aligning the mat, once attached it is almost impossible to remove without damaging the mat.
