It was an interesting to research and read about the technology for these types of products on the internet. They certainly work for some people who might have acne, whiteheads, blackheads, and so on. For me, my skin tends to dry and flake, and it certainly makes short order of those by running this device over my forehead and eyebrows provided that I wash my face in advance with soap and (hot or warm) water and then use this device's brush to clean those areas. Heat is needed to open the pores of the skin to effectively clean. Then ideally you want to use cold water when done to close the skin pores to prevent the dirt from getting back in. Pressing the embossed on/off symbol or any other labeled button does nothing. You need to press the dividing lines above the printed button for things to work. At first, I thought the product was defective until I discovered that it is the dividing line that gets pressed. Know that you need a long press to turn the unit on or off. Once on, short presses work on the dividing lines for the mode and heat button.Pros:- There are four speeds you can choose for the rotating brush- Simple three button control, one for on/off, a second for mode that controls brush rotation speed, and a third button to turn the heat element on and off.- Water resistant, and it comes with a nice backlite display.Cons:- You need water and a non-scouring cleanser for the skin for this to be effective.- The button and dividing line distinctions and required interactions are initially non-intuitive but you can quickly adapt.- It takes about 4 minutes to heat up. Much quicker to just use hot or warm water.- No solutions to close the pores of the skin after expanding them other than wash with cold water.
